Why won’t she just give me another chance? This is a question that can drive someone almost insane. I know because I have wrestled with it myself on more than one occasion. I tried everything that I could think of to win my ex back. I would call several times a day because if she didn’t talk to me I figure she would forget about me. WRONG!

I have since found out that my thinking on that idea was completely backwards. I figured that I had to continue to be a constant figure in her life for me to ever have another chance with her. It turns out that the exact opposite was true. The key to getting your ex to think about you and even miss you is to cut off complete contact with them. If you look at it rationally it makes perfect sense. The problem is that after we are broke up, we aren’t exactly thinking clearly. We reach a desperate stage were we will try almost anything to win back the love of our life.

It turns out the key is to cut off all unnecessary contact with our ex. This means that you don’t call them several times a day, don’t send emails or texts telling them you love them and don’t try to run into them on accident. Give them their space. But most importantly is that you need your space as well. You need time to figure out what happened with your relationship and how it ran off track. This isn’t an easy thing to do or think about, I know.

Look back at your relationship and try to figure out where it went wrong. While your doing this and improving your situation, your ex will most likely be doing somewhat of the same thing. After a few days of not talking to you she will most likely start to wonder what your doing. This is good because it means that she is thinking about you. The longer you go without talking to your ex, you will be increasing the chances of them actually making contact with you.
